We offer alternative treatments, such as diet modification, silver diamine fluoride (SDF), Glass Ionomer Strip crowns, Hall technique crowns. Curodont (a new peptide that can stop or sometimes reverse cavities). All of these treatment options have no needles, no drilling, and no sedation or surgery. While they are still considered alternative, they are normal to us. Dr. Lucas is part of the Minimally Invasive Movement, MobyDental.org.
As pediatric dentists, we get referrals for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, or uncooperative behavior. We have seen (almost) everything.
We also offer traditional treatment, such as fillings, crowns, extractions, as well when minimally invasive approach isn’t an option. We offer nitrous oxide sedation, general anesthesia. We have TVs on the ceiling, and have a cool electronic local anesthesia delivery device. When it comes to kids and dentistry, we can’t guarantee it, but we do everything we can to make your child as comfortable as possible.
